Honolulu, Hawaiʻi — The Hana Group today announced the addition of Sean Berg, a former U.S. Army Special Operations Colonel and Oʻahu-based leader, to support the company’s continued growth across Hawaiʻi and the broader Pacific region.

Berg will play a key role in strengthening Hana’s operational foundation and expanding its presence and impact throughout the Pacific Rim by leveraging the company’s established capabilities and infrastructure.

With a distinguished military career spanning decades, Berg served in elite units including the 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) and 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, and later commanded at multiple levels within the 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne). His leadership experience includes deployments across Kosovo, Iraq, West Africa, and Afghanistan, as well as senior roles within U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, where he led complex, multinational operations in high-stakes environments.

“Sean brings a rare combination of operational depth, leadership experience, and a deep understanding of the Pacific,” said Troy Cooper, CEO of The Hana Group. “His ability to bring clarity to complex challenges and align teams around mission-critical outcomes will strengthen how we deliver for our clients and continue to grow.”

In addition to his military service, Berg is the founder of Kailua-based Quiet Force Leadership, LLC, where he works with mission-driven leaders to navigate complexity and build more resilient organizations. He is also completing a Master’s in Pastoral Theology at Chaminade University and serves in chaplaincy roles supporting local hospitals and the Federal Detention Center, while continuing his formation as a deacon candidate within the Diocese of Honolulu.

“As a fully invested Oʻahu kamaʻāina, joining Hana is an opportunity to contribute to something larger than myself,” said Berg. “This organization is uniquely positioned to connect people, purpose, and opportunity in ways that create lasting impact across Hawaiʻi and the Pacific.”

Berg’s role will also support Hana’s long-term commitment to expanding opportunity for Native Hawaiians through leadership development and access to meaningful career pathways.
